Notebook

Well.... I said I was going to post picture of my notebook,but I have somehow lost my camera. So..... that is bad for me. I actually ended up with 2 CAFE notebooks this year. One I started with that had all my data in each and tab for each kid. Then I made a different notebook for my group and individual lessons with the kids. So, I am going to try and do one notebook again. I would like to have it all in one place. I am also starting a math notebook and I need the least amount possible for me to keep up with. Any thoughts.... from those of you have a notebook set up  or ideas about what you are going to do.

Chapter 2

Chapter 2 is about setting up your notebook. I will attach pictures of what my notebook looks like when I go to my classroom again. We are having our next meeting on July 26 at 9:00. Part of this meeting we will talk about ways you can set up your notebook. On proteacher, they talk about having a "cute" notebook since you will be using it all the time. Last year, I made my notebooks at http://www.zazzle.com/. You can use any kind of notebook you want, but it needs to be a 3 inch if possible. Happy notebook hunting!

chapter 1

I started reading the Cafe book again. Just finished the first chapter.
I love the sisters and I so agree with their thoughts.
It got me so excited about the school year
and also about our pilot group.  The first chapter
says their are 4 keys steps to this system.
1.  Notebook for record keeping
2. Teacher meet with children to assess their needs
3. Teacher plans small group lessons
4. Teacher assembles whole group lessons when most of the
class needs that skill.

Cafe Blog

Our school is planning to begin implementation of the CAFE and Daily 5 written by "the sisters". I started this blog so we can all discuss with each other as we go through the process this year. We can post questions, celebrate things that worked, or post things we need help with. I look forward to having the discussions on here.
Since this is my 2nd year to implement the CAFE, I am going to reread the book and try to post things to help you along. I am beginning Chapter 1 all over again in the CAFE book.
